Favorite current TV show? Probably How I Met Your Mother. I've been watching it since day one, and at no point have I been even remotely bored with it!

Last movie you saw in theaters? Captain America. Yum.

Who's your celebrity crush? Right now I could take some Chris Evans (see above comment about Captain America).

Hobbies? Horseback riding, reading, and writing (when I have time/energy to do it, which lately hasn't been often) are the big three. Lately I've been trying to turn running into a hobby as well. Slow-going, but we're working on it. :)

Favorite thing to do in your free time? I'm usually either at the barn or reading. I'm a fairly transparent person in this regard. ;) On occasion I'll go out shopping too. Contrary to most people, I actually enjoy shopping by myself. The new outlet mall and I are going to be very good friends I think.

Favorite store to shop at? Hmm. Probably Target just because there's SO MUCH stuff.

Favorite outfit? Right now, probably some jeans with a ruffled tank and a cardigan (short-sleeved right now).

Favorite food? Hmm. I'm kind of a steak-and-potatoes kind of girl.

How long have you lived in OK? Ten years and a handful of days.

Favorite season? Probably fall and spring. I like both. I used to love summers, but after this summer I may have to change my stance on that. ;)

How did you meet your H? Funny story.. first day on the job at my first after-college job. UPS guy walked in, and I said to myself, "Sweet! I have a cute UPS driver!" In fact, I thought he was so cute that I went ahead and married him a little over two years later. ;)

If you could live in another state, what state would you choose? I would love to live in Texas. My parents are down there, and I really wish we were a little bit closer to them.

Dream vacation? A trip to Europe to visit England, Scotland, Ireland, France, and Italy.

Least favorite vacation you've been on? Hmm. I don't know that I have a least-favorite because I really love to travel. So just being anywhere new or fun is a good time for me! But if I had to pick, probably the cruise my mom and I went on when I was 16 with two of her friends. The two friends got insanely drunk, there was an incident in the hallway involving an old man's poop, I sliced my toe open on those "modern" fire doors Carnival ships have that are basically corrugated sheet metal, and more.

What book (besides the HP series) do you think *everyone* should read? It's not an all-time favorite, but I really think everyone needs to read 13 Reasons Why by Jay Asher, particularly if they're in high school or are an educator. It makes you realize how even the smallest things you do can have a huge, potentially devastating effect on someone else. That book really changed the way I think and act in certain situations.

Is there any book that you hated so much you felt like you wasted part of your life reading it? I really disliked Life of Pi. I was bored silly with it, and the only reason I trudged through it was because a co-worker let me borrow it and raved. So I knew she'd want to discuss it. Ugh. It did teach me a lesson though: Now if I don't get into a book fairly quickly, I put it down. Life is too short to be bored, and there are plenty more books out there.

Are there any snacks that you love but are embarrassed to admit because everyone else thinks they are weird or gross? Potato chips and cottage cheese. Embarrassed It's a family thing. Someone in my family tried that years ago and got my grandma into it, who got my mom into it, and so I've grown up with that being a typical family snack. I never realized no one else ate that until I was probably 13.

What are your feelings on faith/religion? I have my own personal faith and set of beliefs, and I can respect that you have your own. Just because you might not believe what I believe doesn't make you a bad person, nor does it make me a bad person for not following your beliefs. I really don't like it when people get judgmental on these things. It's unnecessary, and it will never change things for the better.

How would you describe your political views? Moderate leaning left. I agree with a lot of ideals on both sides of the fence, but it seems I tend to agree with more Democratic ideals than Republican ideals.

Do you want kids? If so, how many? Yes, eventually. I want one. I wouldn't have the patience for more, a fact that H has reluctantly accepted (and I know him: He wouldn't have the patience for more than one either!).

How excited are you for OU football? Do you get together with friends to watch the games? Way excited!! I don't often get together with friends to watch the games, but I do sometimes. I just love chilling at home and watching football all day. But I also love going to the games! I miss having student tickets!

How long have you been riding? I started riding when I was 9 and did it until I was 18. Stopped when I went to college, and picked it back up not quite a year and a half ago. So glad I did. I had missed it!

Who's your favorite author? JK Rowling. That woman is amazing on so many levels. I hope she writes something else. I really, really do.

What's your dream car? Oh, that's hard because I'm so practical these days about cars. Probably an Audi Q7 (SUV). I love the way they look.

I don't like cottage cheese, but everyone in my family eats this dip on chips, I think you may enjoy it.

    1 packet italian dressing mix

    8 oz. sour cream

large carton of cottage cheese (I think it's 24 oz.)

    Mix and serve.

What is your favorite droid/iPhone app? On my iPad, I love Words with Friends, the Kindle app, Bump, and All Recipes. Oh, and the Uverse app. SO useful.

Did you play any sports growing up? Nope. I'm not athletically inclined. I rode horses.

Explain your screen name? I love old musicals, and the Fred Astaire/Ginger Rogers films are some of my favorites (thus the "Ginger" part). When filming the movie Top Hat, Ginger wore this amazing ostrich feather dress to film the scene where they dance to the song "Cheek to Cheek." Well, when they started the dance part, feathers flew everywhere. It's pretty well-documented this happened, and if you look closely, you can still see feathers flying off the dress in the movie. After that, Fred gave Ginger the nickname "Feathers." So... Gingerfeathers.

What do you and your H argue about the most? Lately, we mostly argued about how much time I spend away from home. I've been so busy with various things that some weeks I was doing something everyday after work. I think we've found a happy medium though. It's been good for me too--I forget how awesome sleep is. ;)

Who's your best friend and why do you two click? Her name is Danielle, and we've known each other for about 10 years now. I don't know exactly why we click, just that we do and we have since day one, which caused some jealousy with the mutual friend who introduced us. It's probably because we're both very grounded, and I think we compliment each other well.

Describe the perfect night out: I can think of many scenarios that would be "perfect!" But I would have to go with a night out while on vacation, and probably involving a great dinner, a beach, and an awesome resort bed. :)

Favorite baby names? I've always liked Landon, though if we have a boy we likely wouldn't name him that. For girls, I like Grace and Evelyn a lot.

Which nestie do you think you're most like? I see myself in several people. I agree with Boymom that we could complete each other's sentences most of the time! I think Buttercup and I have similar values, and I think Oklagirl and I have a similar outlook on many things. I am also getting to know McGillicuddy, and I think she and I are destined to get along because we have the same opinions on many things. I know there are more, but those are the few that immediately come to mind. Honestly though, I love that we're all different. I learn so much from so many ladies on this board, and I love that.

On a 1-10 scale, how excited are you about the new job? Probably a 9! It would be a 10 if my new job involved winning the lottery. ;)

Did you do anything to celebrate the new gig? Not really. Lots of hugs from H. We're going on vacation soon though, so we'll probably celebrate then!

If you had 1 million dollars to give to charity, how would you distribute it? Ooh, good question. I wish I could give a precise answer, but that would probably take me a day or two to figure out! However, here's a brief potential list:

    1. Sarcoma Foundation of America
    2. Local animal shelters - I would love to see the day OKC is able to be a self-sustaining no-kill city.
    3. Local Thoroughbred rescue group - rescues horses from the racetrack that might otherwise be slaughtered.
    4. A literacy program helping both children and adults to learn to read.
    5. A charity supporting our troops, such as Blue Star Mothers.
