Re: TTC Ladies (probably TMI...)
Sorry they're so bad! My doctor told me I could take 800 mg of Advil at a time every 4-6 hours for the first couple of really painful days of my period. Maybe that's an option for you.
Mine got to the point where I was taking Advil, a muscle relaxer, and Tramadol for a couple of days, so I'm well seasoned in the world of cramps and meds. Hope yours calm down!
Yeah... I think mine seem so intense b/c I'm not used to having any at all. For 10+ years, I didn't really have to deal with more than a headache, so I guess I'm paying for it now! That, and I've heard the first cycle off of BC can be extra intense. So far, today is worse than yesterday.
Remembering back to the time before BC, I think the first two days are the worst.
Same here, fuzzy! I think I got on the pill in like '98 or '99. Crazy to think I've been on it so long. AF was really irregular as a teen, and it was causing acne and mood swings. I know some people don't do well on the pill, but it was a freaking godsend for me. I was able to predict AF for the first time ever, and my skin cleared up.
Cramps were really bad this time, but I haven't been used to any cramps at all, so maybe that's part of it. I was worried that I'd have crazy cycles again, but my OBGYN said that it's very likely that after this long on the pill, my body will be used to a regular schedule, which has been the case so far. All that to say, the cramps sucked, but adjusting hasn't been too bad otherwise.
