The post below about old houses made me want to post here- my husband and I bought an old farmhouse from 1875 about a year ago and are gutting back to the studs in each room and starting over. While gutting in my office, we found a time capsule including a newspaper from 1903, a thimble, marbles, and a chisel that someone had left in the walls. I think it's so neat that someone cared enough to think about the future owners! If you're renovating, it's something to consider. We plan on leaving a newspaper from the date we close up the walls and maybe one from a significant event that's happened- like yesterday's earthquake!
