I'm in the process of giving my closet a thorough purging in preparation... well.. for two reasons. One - it's time to admit that I'm probably never going to fit back into my size 4 jeans again. It's been 7 years. Nor am I keeping clothes from 5 years ago when I was up around 170 lbs. I'm not going back there. Two - I cannot justify buying new clothes when I have a closet (and dresser) full of old ones (that, albeit, don't fit well).
So, I'm going to go back to basics for the school year and need some advice on what those seasonal basics might be. What are you excited about buying this autumn?
Re: Fall fashion must-haves?
Now jumping domestically.
Well that was a crazy couple of years.
I have a pretty good collection right now that includes skinny jeans, cardigans for layering, and tall riding boots (both black and brown). this year, I want to get a pair of flares and a couple of printed button ups (mostly florals, I have some plaids already), as well as a big brown leather handbag.
also, anything mustard color.

Diddo this. I am also glad you posted this I am going shopping this weekend with Husband to get some new clothes being that most of mine are also ill-fitting.
Tall boots, ballet flats, cardigans, blazers, light weight jackets, wraps, vests, scarfs, comfy jeans and big leather handbag.
Also love to incorporate items in colors like yellow, burnt orange, red, deep purple, gold, olive green etc.
Anytime I see mustard anything, I think of you. I am planning on incorporating some mustard clothing into my wardrobe in the near future
First off, I am jealous of all of you who can wear mustard! It makes me look ill.
I can't wait for some fall shopping. The list above is pretty inclusive, but I'd like to add a short corduroy jacket or blazer to the list, as well as, some lacy camis to layer under cardigans.
Oh my gosh, yes, me too! The colour makes me look like I spent the night drinking and then throwing up.
