Re: CP: Clutter

  • I voted: There's a little bit laying around from day to day.

DH would probably vote: I'm a hoarder, or at least it looks like I am one.

We have different ideas on what a house should look like.  I think it's ok for it to look like people actually live there.  Big Smile

  • My house pre-DH was very tidy. Now, DH has things all over that I'm constantly picking up.
  • I'm sad to report that I fall into the "I have a lot laying around" category.  Before when we lived at the condo, we had very little clutter except for the day to day stuff because we simply had more space to store stuff.  Now we're in an older house with small closets and not many of them.  At the condo, I stored all of my holiday stuff, random boxes in the basement but this house has an unfinished creepy 50's style basement and I don't really want any of my stuff down there.  Therefore one of the spare rooms has become like a glorified storage locker with lots of boxes and garment racks.  Other than that I feel like Emma's toys have simply overrun my existence and there's nowhere else for them to go except to sit around and frustrate me.

  • I've got quite a bit of clutter :-(  It's mostly things like the mail, etc., but over the course of a couple weeks its amazing how much stuff accumulates on the floor, dressers, desks, whatever.  I wish I did a better job of keeping it under control, and its only going to get worse with baby/kid stuff.  I guess I just have to learn to live with it.
