I cannot handle a hurricane. I had to experience hurricanes in the Caribbean...why does it follow me here?? Crying

I am getting a little bit scared about the tree next to our house, the wind blowing our new roof off...ok I am getting paranoid. I guess best I can do is to be prepared (food wise, battery-wise etc).

It still sucks!!

    But honestly, I dont think we're going to experience much more than heavy rain.

    Sometimes, I feel like the news plays things up to just dramatize things.

    I tend to agree with you on over-dramatizing things on the news. I do hope it won't be so bad, since we have family from Russia visiting. DH is going to go to the store tomorrow and get a lot of extras and necessities, just in case.

    Aww, I know exactly how that feels. Its amazing how sleepy you get in the beginning of your pregnancy. Well, this is the perfect weather to nap girl, live it up. I wish I could!! LOL

    Another vote for sensationalized news regarding this hurricane.  Or at least that's what I hope.  I have an outdoor wedding to go to this weekend and I'm hoping that Sunday brunch isn't cancelled.  Yeah, I'm thinking about this only in terms of my food and outdoor agenda.

    Totally panicking here! I know the news likes to be dramatic, but they are evacuating the frigg'n hospitals starting tomorrow! If the hospitals are gonna be evacuated, then I don't want to stick around to see what happens! DH and I are packing up tomorrow and heading out west to PA for the weekend. I don't want to stick around to see what happens...I'm a total scaredy cat!!

    DH and i are in NM right now, so we've thankfully missed the earthquake tremors *and* we'll be missing the 'hurricane'!! I don't know how we keep timing this but we also missed Snowmageddon during the winter - we were in NM then too!!

    I hope everyone stays safe and that it's not as bad as they're making it out to be!! I'm starting to wonder if DH will be able to fly back to NYC on Sunday...or if he'll have to stay with me an extra day!! Wink
