As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. Excited for school to start!
Tonight, my teammates and I hosted our 2nd annual ice cream social for all of the incoming 5th graders. It's their first year in middle school, so we like taking the time to get them together before school starts.We had an awesome turn-out too. We were checking the names off as they came to get their ice cream and I think 75 of our 96 students were there. I spoke with several of my new students and their parents and you could just feel the excited/nervous energy in the room. I am so excited to get started on Monday!

I only have 19 students this year so I am very excited! LOL... Although they are an interesting bunch (I did lunch/recess duty for 2nd/3rd grade so I saw a lot of them in action).
Beth - we are expected to have the hurricane hitting Monday, has your school mentioned possibly canceling?? We've heard rumors about it.

Fun! What a great way to introduce the kids to their new school.
I have one more day of new teacher orientation, then workshop week next week. School starts on Sept 6 for me.
