DIY Wedding Announcement

To make a long story short- my husband and I went to the courthouse last week to tie the knot :)  Super happy we went this route and now we want to announce it to our friends and family in a unique way.  It's been a week, and only a handfull of people know (our children, our manager(s) at work, my best friend and our photographer friend who were both there that day)

Any suggestions on wording on an announcement we can mail out?

Re: DIY Wedding Announcement

  • The wording should be similar to an invitation, except in past tense and making it clear the wedding has already occurred. There should be no mention of gifts. Something like:

    Two hearts joined in love,

    United forever in love.

    John and Jane Smith

    are pleased to announce

    that they were married on

    August 20th

    San Fransisco, California

    ETA: Congratulations!!!
