Caught off guard by hr recruiter
I got a call from an hr recruiter earlier today. I was completely caught off guard since I have not been applying to anything. AND I didnt apply to this company. She said she saw my resume online.
I really felt unprepared. I like to have my resume in front of me to reference and there was a lot of noise outside my office. She also called me on my cell phone and the reception wasnt too great.
After the fact I realized I should have asked to call her back at another time. I guess I just didnt want to be rude. What's your advice?
She said she would send me an email (this was at 11) and I havent received anything so I feel like I blew it.

Uggh, this is why I can't stand recruiters (if you are one -- it's not personal!). I have one that keeps calling even though I haven't been actively searching since last year and they never have anything interesting to approach me with anyway!
I think recruiters must realize you can't always chat when they cold call. Then again, they can be extremely dense.
