    Yes

  • I know we have a higher % of eldest on the board.

I wonder if it has something to do with the "planner" stereotype and how most of us got here in the first place: informed planning of our weddings.

Ohhh... interesting theory.  You may very well be right.

  • I had to vote other, I'm an only.

    That is very interesting.

Only related in the "odd statistic" sort of way, it seems that law school (or my class, at least) seems to have a larger proportion of Lefties than the general population.

Oh, whoops.  I'll add that category.  Sorry!

  • 2 older sisters, 2 younger brothers.  Right smack dab in the middle!

Then there's those of us middle children who got sucked into the drama of the chat boards and stuck around :D

  • Am I an "other"?  I am my dad's middle child and my mom's oldest child.

How much time did you spend with your dad and were your other siblings there?

I would say you probably act like the birth order where you spent the majority of your time, but you probably do have at least a few "middle child" traits.

Birth order experts list all sorts of quirks--like birth order can kind of "reset" when there is a large age gap between kids or sets of kids (like parents have two children relatively close in age and then 10 years later have another two).

Yeah, I had this sort of thing in mind when I created the "other" option.  My husband is in a similar scenario.  He's his dad's middle child; his mom's oldest child; and there's a big gap between himself and his younger (full) sister, so he has some only child traits too (going along with the "resetting" theory that Diana mentioned).

  • I voted oldest. I feel like I have most of the oldest child traits. :)
