Fashion Friends - Dress Shopping

So this is kind of related to MB's post below. My BIL's wedding is September 4th and it's being held in a ballroom. I've come to discover that I have no appropriate dress to wear to this and with moving and everything I've really not thought of this until now when I'm crunched for time. SO any of you ladies that have fashion sense and like doing this kind of thing. Please find me a dress to wear!! My only stipulations are it cannot be black (because my only two formal dresses are black), yellow or orange (because I don't like either of those colors). Also, I'd prefer strapless based on the fact that I may have to breastfeed Alex and it would be easier if the dress is strapless (I haven't decided if I'm going to bring bottles and then pump later that night or what I'm going to do yet). Price limit is $80, yeah I'm cheap lol. If it's one that I really really love I might be able to make myself spend $100...maybe...

J.Crew Cecelia Dress... I like this but I feel like it's not dressy enough and of course I like the black better than the blue...but I cannot buy another black dress!

In regards to my post below, I've been looking mainly at j.crew's dreses, which is not normal for me, but I've been falling in love with them. And of course, the dress of their's that I've been looking at is in the color I want over $200, and sadly I just haven't been able to find anything that matches up, and of course there isn't a promo code to be found... but I digress.

Of the ones above, I like Cyndee for you. What color is the wedding party? That will help in picking a color ;p Also, does Dark Charcoal count? I mean, its not balck, right??

I also looked at Cecelia too, and I like it, but it does seem too plain. What if you got the blue one, and jazzed it up with black accessories, shoes, even a belt?

The bridesmaids are wearing Alfred Anegelo marine blue. So does that rule out all blues? Rach, I'll have to check those dresses out when I get home because I cant select on my ohine to copy paste for some reason...usually it works. MB, I love a lot of the more expensive JCrew dresses too but I can't make it happen.

That's what I assumed, which sucks because I was really liking the blue dress. Is it really tacky to go red? I don't have a red dress and I'm thinking future use too. I'm not fashion savy when it comes to formal events.

Macy's is having a 15% off online on some of their dresses; they have a whole section of red dresses (which I think is perfectly fine to wear as long as the dress is tasteful).

I saw this dress on the site and thought the color and cut of the dress would be beautiful on you although it does not meet your strapless dress criteria. I also think this color in general would be really versatile to be worn throughout the year.

Also, I was just over on FB. What about the blue strapless dress you wore for the wedding you and Joel stood up for in the spring/early summer? It looked beautiful on you, was strapless and you could dress it up differently with some bling and fancy shoes. I know you said the bm's dresses are blue as well but that wouldn't be a deal breaker for me if I knew the dress I was going to wear would not look the same as the wedding party's dresses. Maybe this makes me a jerk, but I I usually try to dress within the color scheme of the wedding (if I know it) because then any pictures I may end up in I don't look clashy or stand out too much.

Thanks ladies for all of your suggestions! I found this dress on Macy's online and with the free shipping and 15% off it's $99 which I've decided I can live with because it's really cute and I'm sure there will be future events I can wear it to.
