DH and I bought a house a few months ago and the sellers included a home warranty. We were skeptical as to whether or not it would actually cover anything since I've heard horror stories about jobs being done so-so and breaking again later after the warranty has expired or the warranty company refusing to fix certain problems in the first place. Well we called AHS about our air conditioning not working and they sent someone out just two days later (one day they were booked and the second day we couldn't get off work to let them in). The guy worked on our unit for a bit and then voila! We have air again! And we only had to pay a small deductible compared to what that house call would've usually ran

I was impressed that the technician even showed us what he was doing and explained how to fix the problem should it happen again in the future. Just wanted to share my experience to anyone else who may be considering a home warranty! It can be nice for first-time home buyers who are clueless as to how to fix these type of problems like we were lol
