People with rental property - come in!

DH and I are looking for a propety management software to utilize.

Do you use any?  Pros??  Cons??

We are looking for:

1) ways to scan and attach stuff to the property and

2) normal shiit like expenses.. rent history

 TIA!!

Re: People with rental property - come in!

  • We have over a dozen rental properties and just use an excel spread sheet to track expenses.  If we need to scan something, we scan to a pdf file. You really don't need a specialized software product.
  • Thanks!  We currently use excel and scanned documents but were considering finding a software that could simplify everything even more.
  • I have 2 properties, and I just use excel and pdf files.

You can use HanDbase - it's like a simplified excel.  You can get it for your iphone, or just your desktop.

  • We have three rentals.  DH doesn't use anything special...just Excel spreadsheets, Quicken, and pdf files as necessary.
  • Another excel, pdf landlord here :)

  • Quicken has a property mgmt software (reasonably priced).
  • We have 7 units and are REA agents as well. We utilize a program called DropBox which is free online. We can access our scanned docs from our blackberries, ipad, work computers, where ever we are. If someone needs something, we can find it quickly and do not need to carry a flash drive every where we go.

We use an excell spreadsheet to plug in applicant's parameters (income, credit score, etc)

We print a lot and just got a new printer, with multi sheet docufeed, copy and scanner. I highly recomend the Espon Workforce 840 - and it's wireless!
