The slow has been the suck lately! How is everyone?
My latest is that my house was hit by lightning 2 wks ago, we lost all our Fios equipment (replaced free, phew), our printer, and our 2 20ft queen palm trees died, which I am SO upset about. But at least we didn't lose any big appliances, and the house/we were ok.
what's new with you guys??
Re: hiii
Psh. Nothing much here. That stinks about getting hit by the lighting!
We are moving tomorrow. And I feel like almost nothing is packed, even though I have about 10 boxes piled up in the corner of my dining room.
And I don't want to go, even though I know in the long run it is what is best for everyone.
I cannot wait to get back on my feet and get back here.
Oh no, sorry to hear about the lightning and the palm trees. Did they die because the lightning hit them? Sorry
Hey Aly! That does really suck about the lightning! And losing your trees. Glad to hear your damage wasn't too terrible. That happened to a friend of mine a few months ago and they woke up in the middle of the night to a pitch black house smelling of smoke. They wound up with smoke & fire damage in their kitchen, lost all of their tvs, their stove and other smaller appliances. So scary what lightning can do. I'm glad you guys and your house were okay.
Totally random fact, my FIL was struck by lightning- and survived- twice in his lifetime.
Marissa - Good luck with the move! I wish we were able to work out plans before you left:(
Lauren&Tasha - Not sure where we were exactly hit, but we were told that is what killed them. I know in the grand scheme of things we were lucky not to lose so much more.
How scary to have your house struck by lightning. Thank goodness that overall everything was OK. H thinks one of our pine trees got struck by lightning recently but the rest of the house wasn't affected.
I'm getting more settled in at my new job and still love it. Still need to figure out how to better balance being pg and work but every day gets a little more manageable.
I saw a sign for your open house at the college last week, but I wasn't working nearby so I couldn't go visit! How are you feeling?? We never did get to have our coffee date. Maybe one of these days
