BFers: frozen BM question
I thawed 2 bags of bm on Wed that were not used. They have been in the fridge since. I work tonight. Do I have to toss those and thaw more? My handy dandy magnet says 4 hours but it also says sitting on the counter.
In the 19 months since Collin was born this last week is the first time he has had to use frozen. I'm so glad I had it as back up, but I am clueless on the whole thing.
Re: BFers: frozen BM question
I'm so jealous you still have frozen BM! We used our last bit around her first birthday!
It should be okay. According to kellymom:
To thaw milk
Previously frozen milk may be kept in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours after it has finished thawing. Do not refreeze.
--So if you count the time it took to thaw and add it to the 24 hours I say you're still able to use it! :-)

That would be amazing! I have heard if it's bad it will smell (like cow's milk). Any idea if that is true?
I have no idea. It seems like a reasonable assumption to make.
