Houston Nesties
Dear Community,
Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.
If you have questions about this, please email help@theknot.com.
Thank you.
Note: This only affects The Nest's community members and will not affect members on The Bump or The Knot.
Someone set up a FB account and used my email address to do so. I have gotten a crapload of emails confirming friends. I found the person on FB - would you send them a message? I can't seem to find the right link through FB to report it since they aren't impersonating me (using a different name) but they are using my email.
Really, it is just annoying.
Re: Facebook help
That sounds really fishy. Do you not have to "accept" the new page on your email to prove that it is you? (I can't remember how I did it when I first set up my FB). I can't imagine that someone would be able to set up a FB with anyone's email address w/o having to verify. Are you sure those emails aren't spam? Def. contact someone with FB to get it removed. Try this page:
https://www.facebook.com/security#!/security?sk=app_10442206389
Can you try to sign in and "forgot your password"? Then it should send YOU an email to reset - and that person can't get in anymore. Then you can delete the page, and maybe that person will get the hint.
I like this. Maybe the persons real email is similar to yours and they just misspelled something?
This is the same account that was hacked a few weeks ago, so it doesn't seem horribly fishy. I do like the idea of trying to sign in with their email, but I have one email set up for my sign in and get notifications on another email.
I don't think it is a mistake - her name is VERY different from mine, and this email is a firstname lastname email address.
