AW: The dress ETA: in action shot
This dress has been a ridiculous project, with a time shortage on my side and my MIL buying the fabric for me. It's made of cotton sateen with lycra. It wasn't as hard to sew as I expected. And I learned French seams.
I still need to make a little petticoat to go under it per my MIL. I'm really hoping it fits L.
When she wakes up and is clean, I'll take a pic of her in it.
ETA:

Do you think it's too long?

"People talk about escapism as if it's a bad thing... Once you've escaped, once you come back, the world is not the same as when you left it. You come back to it with skills, weapons, knowledge you didn't have before. Then you are better equipped to deal with your current reality."

Looks great on! If she walks all the time, no kids so I can't judge age by the picture, then length is good. I would only worry if she would be crawling. It might allow for longer use of the dress and she grows.
Paula
She only crawls when she's gotten the floor all wet playing in the dog bowl, so I think you're probably right. Thanks!

LMAO! by the looks of your dogs, I don't think she's the only one getting the floor wet!(lol) My Akita leaves a river of slobber from his bowl, I can only imagine what GPs and Nufies do.
the dress is adorable! looks like the right length.
If you do shorten it, don't cut off the excess length. Go with deep pintucks that will allow you to let it out as she grows.
I wouldn't do a petticoat unless you shorten it.
