Repurpose your old wine corks!
I'm pretty excited about my latest cork craft. My in-laws were having a wine party and I wanted to come up with some wine charms. I suddenly thought what if I use old wine corks? The light bulb went on and away I went. They're so easy and practically free to make. I can't load a picture still...???!!! I'll takes tips on that too if anyone has any.
Here are my photos and tutorial of wine cork charm tags.

Re: Repurpose your old wine corks!
Cute idea!
We started saving our wine corks last last year. Then we found out we were expecting. I think we have 6 corks in our jar.
In your browser, right click on the picture, choose "copy image location" then go back to the compose message window and click the little tree icon next to the smiley. Click the "Image URL" space, then hit ctrl v. Then click on the dimensions space. They should fill in automatically, but if your pic is super big or small, you may want to adjust them manually, i.e. if it says 1000x500, try doing 500x250.
Now I'm off to look at your tutorial...

cute idea! I didn't get to look at your whole tut on this but people could also snag a sharpie and put their name on it in case they can't quite remember which cork they had.
You're making me feel like I need AA or something! LOL I haven't had any wine since the end of Feb. (when we decided it was time for kid #2) But Dh still has wine and I cook with it. me/looks at giant over flowing container of wine corks...........
We haven't bought any since getting pregnant because I know it'd go to waste. DH will drink it when I do, but he's not going to come home from work asking for a glass of wine (though, it'd probably do him some good!). I'm not adventurous enough to cook w/ it (I left home able to make hamburger helper and mac n cheese).
I have had trouble falling asleep the last week or two and lay in bed thinking about how a glass of wine would help me snooze. I'm sure that, even w/ my doctor's permission, DH would freak out. LO would fail a spelling test 8 years from now and DH would blame the wine.

I have 2 REALLY LARGE hurricanes FILLED with corks! I keep them in my dining room on the dry bar. I keep saying I want to do something with them, but never do.
BTW: I also now feel that I need to explain that I only have 1 glass of wine with dinner at night and have gotten my entire family to hold onto their corks for me! When people come into my house for the first time and see the hurricanes they kind of look at them then me then them again... can only imagine what they're thinking!
Im praying that I packed my corks instead of throwing them when we moved because I'm hoping to do this exact thing. I'll have to wait to find out bc we arent unpacking those boxes until we buy our house in the next few months
