We're on the track to be homeowners!
I'm new to this board but have been on the Knot/Nest/Bump for years. I just thought I'd introduce myself and tell you our tale 
Originally our plan was to build but when we didn't get preapproved for the amount of the house we liked, we decided to switch gears and look into buying an existing home. Why spend so much money and time and build something you don't really like?
So we went looking at houses on Wednesday and the first one sucked! It
was nasty and small (the windows would have to be replaced and there was
no space). The second one we looked at was a possibility but it was a
fixer upper (not a big deal, DH works for Menards). We decided to extend
our search area and found another house. We fell in love with it! We
decided since it was only on the market for 30 days and was just above
our price that we'd put an offer on it. THEY ACCEPTED OUR OFFER!!!! I
can't believe it's happening so fast! I know to
still be cautious until closing is finished. It just exciting!
