Crafts
Dear Community,

Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

If you have questions about this, please email help@theknot.com.

Thank you.

Note: This only affects The Nest's community members and will not affect members on The Bump or The Knot.

The Crafts FAQ is almost one year old :)

Its "birthday" is technically tomorrow (at least according to the counter I stuck on the bottom, but I can't remember if I added that later on).  4,220 visits in a year ain't bad.

I know there's an update or two I haven't gotten to yet.  I think one of them was about the Silhouette?  Sorry about that, it's just that the Nest's bio format is such a pain to work with and I only have the most basic of HTML skills.  Also, half the time it's not working correctly and won't take the changes I make...annoying.

Anyway, I do try to get to all requests for edits, updates, etc. eventually so let me know if you have any more!  If you want new content, be sure to either link me to relevant posts that answer the question or write up an answer yourself for me to include.  I don't create the answers, I just compile board member's advice from various posts.

I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball

  • Thank you for making it. It is SO awesome of you. :) I'll try to look at it today and see if there are any additions I can think of. :)

  • You're so welcome!  Happy to do it.  It's nice to have somewhere to point people rather than just ignoring a question we see for the eleventy billionth time Stick out tongue

  • Thank you for the work you put in it.

From some comments from newbies I think they are glad we have a FAQ because it helps them. I have gone on there too when I am thinking of something and don't want to ask.

  • What about adding something on quilting? I would love to make one but have no idea where to start or what I need.

I'm happy to add it if you create a post asking the question. As you can see, the FAQ is a compilation of board members' answers to questions that are frequently posted. I don't see your question posed very often, but I think it would be useful content to have. So go ahead and ask the question and I'll put any useful answers in the FAQ!

  • It's not from our board, but how about a link on how to PIP since it is a board requirement?
