Dock's Oyster house was awesome
thanks to the girls who always talk about it on here! DH and I were in AC last night for an anniversary getaway and I booked there instead of Bobby Flay's steakhouse which was DH's choice. We both loved it and he was impressed with my restaurant selection.
At the bar, I had an asian pear martini and DH tried the Brooklyn lager then we switched to wine for dinner. For appetizer, we got baby neck clams in a tomato broth, they were so good. i don't usually eat clams but i loved these and the juice was perfect for bread dipping. Also got a house salad with blue cheese, walnuts, and apples. For entrees, we both got specials- DH had the sauteed scallops, four huge ones, over risotto and I had the fluke over spinach topped with crabmeat. For dessert, we split the caramel banana cream pie. sweet Jesus, that was amazing.
All the food was excellent and so fresh, the old school ambiance was nice and I loved the piano player. Thanks for always talking about it or else I would have never heard of it!

Yay Kel! That's awesome! We had such a good time there and the food was just perfect. I think I had the same thing as your DH. And my hubs had your dish, except it was red snapper instead.
And banana cream pie - did it have caramel in it?
