Doggie story!

Alright, we noticed something was wrong with Dasher's, um area on Monday night but I thought I was being hypersensitive so I didn't think anything else of it.  Last night, DH mentioned that it definitely looked worse - WOWZERS - it did - and this morning it looked awful. I thought she maybe had an anal glands issue or something like that.

Um, no. She is in HEAT.  At seven months old.........Poor puppy.

Re: Doggie story!

  • I will be the crazy dog lady again...  Get her fixed, they can do it right now even though she is in heat.  You could have a real mess on your hands in the next few days.  ;/

Also, any intact male in the area is able to smell her and they will try their best to get to her, $ex crazed idiots!  Watch out when you guys are outside.

  • I had a cat in heat once. It was so miserable! She just wandered around, yowling her head off and rubbing her butt on things. Lol. Definitely got her fixed shortly after that.

Somewhat related: our little rat terrier has some sort of auto-immune sore on his stomach. It doesn't seem to bother him, but it's been there for like two months now! H put a band-aid on it last night; hopefully it goes away soon.

  • Bri - We were told to let her go through her cycle (three weeks), then wait six weeks after that to have her spayed.  She was scheduled to be spayed NEXT WEEK - I am just absolutely shocked that she started so young.

Poor pretty puppy! Love her so much!

  • Awww. Poor Dasher!
    Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker
  • M - your DH put a band-aid on your doggie??  LOL - so cute!

Oh goodness...  Go get you some diapers (like actual baby diapers, not the dog ones) and cut a hole for her tail.  I feel for you, seriously!
