Stupid question about my Sky remote...

Just started using Sky, and it's driving me crazy!  Whenever I press the "TV Guide" button, it starts at 101 (BBC One),  no matter what channel I am currently watching, and I have to scroll all the way through the whole list.

Is there a way to get it to jump to the channel I'm currently watching when I go to "tv guide"????   Is there an easier way to do this?

The Sky website is no help at all....

Re: Stupid question about my Sky remote...

  • I sat here for five minutes trying to remember how my Sky remote was used. Been over a year and I can't remember, sorry. Is there a way to scroll a page at a time instead of one channel at a time? Our OSN remote does that and it goes soooo much faster.

  • We have Sky so I know exactly what you're talking about and it's annoying.  The only thing I can get it to do is push the up or down buttons instead of the tv guide button and it will bring up a box with info for just the channel you are on.  I still haven't figured out how to get the whole guide to show up with the channel I'm currently watching.  I think the remote needs a "last" button, too.  I ALWAYS forget what channel I was watching cause I click around a lot.

You use the channel + & - button with the sky remote.

  • It won't go to your exact channel.  I use the same +- Ch button to go up and down pages.  If you want info about the channel you are on, just hit the "i" button.  To get back off of the tv guide, hit the sky button.
I like pineapples...they make life just so much more interesting.
  • I wonder if any providers start the TV guide at the channel you are currently watching.  Comcast (US), Orange (France), and Austar/Foxtel (Oz), all go to the first channel and you have to scroll.

I've never had digital cable/satellite that DIDN'T start the TV guide on the channel I was watching -- Time Warner, Cox, DirecTV, Dish all do....that's why it's driving me crazy!

  • That's weird. I'd call Sky and have them walk you through reprogramming your remote.
