How is everyone?

Our lights flickered last night, but we never lost power.  The wind really picked up as the night progressed and we stayed up until 1am just in case.  We have a dead tree in our backyard that we're really worried would come down and still worried it might come down, which caused us to sleep in our living room just in case.

We have a ton of limbs down this morning and I can see a trees came down in a neighbor's yard, but other than that we're good.

How about you ladies?

Re: How is everyone?

  • We have a tree that got split in our backyard, and a little bit of water coming in, but nothing too bad. I think we are lucky. We did lose power overnight, but it's on now.

  • We lost power three hours ago :( major limbs down, almost half a tree in the front yard. No structural damage at this point and I am praying it stays that way.
  • We never truly lost power- it went off at 10:20, but then was back on w/i 5 minutes.  It went off again around 2:45, but was back on by 3:30 when DD and DS both woke up.  We are very lucky!

At least 3 houses in our neighborhood took direct hits from big trees.  One house took 2 hits- one on each end- at least on the one end it is just a screened-in porch and it only looked like a little roof/gutter damage, the other end, not so much.  Our neighbors behind us lost at least half of their deck to a tree.

At one point at least 3 trees were blocking roads- one still is w/ live powerlines under it.

Amazingly most of our community still has power.

  • We are great. I went to bed early and woke up late today, it looks like we lost power this morning for a while, based on the clocks this morning.

I flew to Boston Friday, and was supposed to fly home last night. Luckily, I changed my ticket, and came home on the 10:40 AM flight. All other flights were canceled and Logan is closed today. I am happy to be here.

  • Never lost power but our lights flickered here and there. We had a branch fall in our  backyard from our Neighbors weeping willow tree, but DH cleaned that up today. My neighbor a few houses down his tree in the backyard split in half. No water inside, so that's a huge plus.

  • We're doing great. No power flickering, no power outages. A few branches on the road around the neighborhood but nothing serious.
  • Still no power at my house....has been out since 8:00 p.m. Saturday.  We lost a tree in the front yard, had water coming in through the back door of the garage and our front/back yard is flooded.  Thankfully the warm weather is helping to dry things out.  There is a street flooded in my neighborhood and tons of uprooted/downed trees throughout our town.

I usually love storms, but I was terrified Saturday night.  It sounded like our house was being torn apart.

  • Nothing really eventful at our house.  We lost power for about 24 hours.
  • We've been without power since saturday at 11:03pm.  Stayed in a hotel last night.  Hoping it comes back tonight.
