:::peeks out from under covers:::
Everyone okay?
I know it isn't over yet but our yard and basement are so flooded. We're completely screwed if it gets much worse. But I guess if that's all that happens we're in better shape than we'd expected.
Re: :::peeks out from under covers:::
I'm so sorry your basement is flooded. That used to happen to us often at our house before we moved up to NY. It's a PITA, but like you said, I'd rather deal with a flooded basement than a roof that's been torn off or something! It sounds like most of it is past us, so hopefully it won't get any worse for you.
Our house here seems to be unscathed so far. I think our neighbors further down the hill are flooded though.

I'm sorry to hear about your flooding
I'm good here. Still have power & cable (fingers crossed) and nothing major seems to be down in our development. My IL's lost power though, so we may have company later

so far so good here. though i doubt we will be going anywhere. we lost power for 5 minutes around 4 am but it came right back on. i haven't been outside yet to check the cars or the crawl space were the hot water heater is.
hope everyone is ok!
Hello. I've waited here for you. Everlong<3<br>
All is well so far... just a few branches down and power has flicked a few times... hope it stays this way.
we are going good, no water in the basement as of yet! thank god! and we have power.
When we bought our house, my h put all these underground pipes which all our down spout pipes go into and it takes that water out to the drain in the road and i made fun of him for going over board with all of this work because the yard had to be dug up and it was a large weekend thing. So now hes like OHHH LOOK! Good thing we have all this drainage work... and hes actually right (but i wont tell him that!) I checked the pipe this morning and there was so much water coming out from our gutters i am sure our basement would be flooding if it wasn't for those stupid pipes.
We have waves in our back yard...
The road is flooded, about 3 inches in the unfinished part of the basement but none where we are in our apartment down there, thank God. Can't get off of our road, there are baracades because at the end there is about 4 ft. of water. It goes up to the base of neighbors mail box. One of her cars is underwater. Ugh..
Lol, there goes my black Labrador, jumping in our new lake. Hope you are all safe!
