There you have it...

Steady relationship for 7 years with the only guy I've ever slept with, wedding on our way and there you have it, an STD. Never cheated on him, never slept with another man so it can only mean one thing... crap! And the worst part is that the first female friend I'd turn to died 3 weeks ago...
Lucky to be in love with my best friend...

Re: There you have it...

  • Hold on - which STD is it?

HPV can live in the body for 10+ years before becoming active. So if it's that, don't jump to conclusions just yet.

If it's Gonorrhea, Chlamydia, or warts.......well, go ahead and jump because you're probably right.

    Sorry about your friend.

  • He'll probably try to convince you that you cheated on him and gave him an STD.

  • I second PP- what is it? Do some research to see what you can get directly from another person. From my understanding (what my GYN told me) you can get certain things other ways.

Just make sure you have your ducks in a row YKWIM? - Good luck, I hope he is not  cheating .

  • It becomes active 2-3 weeks after the sexual contact and can only be received through sexual contact. Right now I'm at my parents. Turns out the "lucky" girl was his ex with whom he didn't just slept once! He had an entire affaire with her!

Are you saying you found out that he has resumed some type of relationship with his ex and very recently?

Herpes can "lurk" too, more or less. It need not become active right after contact with somebody who has it.

If he cheated on you, bye bye. Once a cheater always a cheater.

  • So sorry you're going through this. That is terrible. When is your wedding? Are you staying with him?

I echo Tarpon. Once a cheater, always a cheater. Especially when you're about to commit your life to him and he can't stay faithful??

What a dirty scumbag. My ex cheated on me and had unprotected sex with his intern during our engagement. I was so worried that he gave me an STD, but I've been tested since and (knock on wood), nothing came back positive (And I've been tested twice.) Still sucks that guys think it's OK to do stuff like that. Good luck.

  • I'm so sorry you have to go through this! GL!
