Well sort of, we moved here to Purcellville in May but have not had a chance to really settle in and meet people yet because we've been so busy getting ready for our wedding. I would love to get in touch with some other ladies particularly in Loudoun county and get recommendations on place to go, drs, dentists, hair salons etc!

Awesome! It seems barely anyone lives in purcellville haha.

I am a little familiar with ashburn, I work in Leesburg (I am a nanny to a 4yo, 2yo and 3mo old) and I take the kids to that trailside park often, but that's about all I know of ashburn.

I'm down the road from you in Lovettsville. Here are some places I go...

Dr - Dr. Keenan at NOVA Medical Group/Urgent Care (haven't actually had to see her yet but have heard good things). They have offices in Leesburg, Ashburn and Sterling. Ob-gyn - Dr. Hashemi in Centreville. It's a bit far but I won't have kids for a while, so no big deal for a yearly exam. She is excellent.

Dentist - Dr. Sharma in Ashburn at Virginia Dental Solutions. I've been going to that office for almost 15 years now!

Hair - still trying to find one go-to person but I generally have good experiences at the Bubbles in Leesburg and Dulles Town Center

For Drs. I go to Loudoun Physicians for Women in Leesburg and for regular checkups we go to Leesburg Sterling Family Practice. They have an office in P'ville.

Dentist- I've been going to Dr. Rothschild in Leesburg for 20+ years.

Can't help you with hair as I color my own and usually cut my own hair.

Yay Lovettsville! I think we actually live closer to Lovettsville than Purcellville. We live off of 287 and Nixon Rd.

Do any of you have kids? We don't, and aren't trying YET, but may soon, definitely within the next year :-) so for now I just have my mon-fri kids at work :-)

What do you do for work? Would love to hear about you all

Are you a teacher too? I also have Mon-Fri kids.

I teach elem music in the county. No kids of my own for a little while. I do know where Nixon Rd is - very close! I'm in the non-existent town center of Lovettsville.

no recs but congrats & welcome! also, my bff lives in VA and loves dr. hashemi. has been going to her for 7+ years now i think.

unfortunately I am not a teacher... I moved here from CA, I was half way done with my credential/masters program there, and then we moved here and I assumed that I would just be able to pick right up with finishing school here... Wellll barely any classes transfer, and it's going to take me another couple years here to finish, and because of hubby's job we are only guaranteed to be here a year. So I didn't want to start and then have to leave in the middle of it again.

so no teaching for me until we get settled down somewhere permanently. It has really bummed me out bc I soooo badly want to teach! Today was such a bummer seeing all the kids going to their first day of school; I wish I was seeing them walk into MY classroom! Someday I hope

For now I am just nannying

We love Purcellville too! Where about do you live? Do you happen to know anything about Dr. Tootell or Dr. Wenzel?

Also, I am thinking about going to that Footloose dance place for their adult fitness kickboxing and Zumba, know anything about it, or have any interest in joining?! :-)
