I made Watermelon Jelly today...

it turned out awful. I don't know what happened other than the recipe I used had a lot of lemon juice in it and I reduced the sugar because the blogger who shared the recipe said it would be better with less. I think the lemon juice made it too tart and it doesn't even look like its going to set. Ugh.

But my banana chocolate chip bread turned out super yummy!

Did anyone else make anything yummy this weekend?

  • I made Amish cinammon bread yesterday. My mom brought it and left it behind for me when they visited a few weeks ago. I love the way it smells while it's baking!

  • I made mongolian beef for dinner. It must have been good; I made a huge batch intending on having left overs for the week, and DH just informed me it's all gone.

I admire you for even attempting jellies. I am not that ambitious in the kitchen.

    Oh mongolian beef sounds good!

And thank you! I've been doing jams and jellies since I was about 5 with my Mom. I love doing it and much prefer homemade jams and jellies to store bought! And it always makes a lot so there is always some to share!
