A silly cooking question

I told my DH that I was going to make some quesadilla tonight and I found a recipe I like but I have a quick question. You are supposed to spray lightly with vegetable oil spray and then bake them in the oven.

I dont have vegetable oil spray. Should I just drizzle some olive oil on the outside? Butter?

Re: A silly cooking question

  • I'd probably lightly brush on olive oil so it doesn't soak into some parts too much and completely miss others.  But I'm not really a cook, so take that with a grain of salt.

  • Yep, brush on any kind of vegetable oil.  This will make the outside get crispy, and keep it from sticking to whatever you're cooking it on!

  • I would go with the brush too!
