POLL: Where does your vacuum live?

First, do you ever put it away? I feel like mine is out all the time.
And second, if it actually does get put away, where do you keep it?

Re: POLL: Where does your vacuum live?

  • I keep it in our computer room. I tried keeping it in the hall closet, but we have a lot of stuff in there and since I use the vacuum so often, I needed easier access to it.

  • Ours lives in the coat closet off the living room, behind the dog crate. It gets pulled out, used and put back at least once a week. We only have one area rug, so the broom is what never gets put away in our house.
  • Ours is currently IN the guest bedroom, but I'd love to get it into the actual closet in there. Guess I need to move out all of the baby stuff first.
  • We keep it in the hallway to the stairs.  I am always vacuuming the rug downstairs so I keep it downstairs more.
  • Unfortunately, ours is out all the time. I hate it. I don't really have a closet to stick it in...our hall closet is our pantry since the one in the kitchen isn't that large.

I could stick it in the basement, but my pregnant butt isn't going to carry it up and down the stairs 3-4 times a week.

  • Our vacuum is always out.  I usually vacuum at least 3 times a week in the rooms where Abbie is most since she loves to eat the crumbs of dog treats and ANYTHING she finds on the floor.

We don't really have a home for the vacuum.  We used to keep it on the floor of the the hall closet, but now there's other stuff there.  So, it's homeless.

  • Wow you guys use yours a lot more than I do lol. Ours lives on the landing to the basement.
  • It's usually put away, and it's home is in the living room/entry way closet.
  • The big hall linen closet, though its been vacationing in the living room this week.

  • Laundry room.  But I feel like it is in the way and have been considering moving it to the hall closet or an upstairs closet since we only have 2 area rugs downstairs but we actually have carpet upstairs.

  • We have a good sized laundry room downstairs next to the living room, so I keep it there. It is always put away.
