As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Birthday Update
I had posted late last week about switching our birthday BBQ from Saturday to Friday and I did the opposite of what all the nesties said and ended up switching it to Friday night. I am so happy I did because the weather was great and we still got 20 or so people to come out, though because of my other commitments I ended up only getting 8 hours of sleep between Thursday and Friday night combined, so that made Saturday really rough. Especially when I got a call Saturday after coaching my practice in the morning that my Dad was in the hospital and my mom about had a nervous breakdown.
I then spent the majority of the rest of the weekend dealing with family health issues so I was glad not to have to throw a party Saturday night with all that going on. Today is my real birthday and I am taking off half a day to advocate for my dad at the hospital and help him get released to another facility. What a fun birthday, lol! Birthdays are not a huge thing for me so it is not a big deal, but I do think it is ironic all the million facebook messages about people wishing me a fantastic day when my day will probably be less than fantastic. Only about 5% of my IRL friends know what is going on with my family or have hard partially what is going on.

I'm glad you had a great party, even though you're dealing with other hardships now. I was thinking about you on Saturday and wondering if your party guests braved the storm!
