and we are still without power
Ahh. Our power went out at 2pm yesterday and came back an hour later. That lasted for about an hour (enough time for me to take a quick shower) and then poof out again. It's been out ever since. I hope that power comes back soon.

Re: and we are still without power
Yeah, ours went out mid-afternoon and has been out ever since. It's funny, because I expected it to go out, but the longest it's been out at once since we moved to our house-in-the-sticks in 2006 is for several hours over night. Every other time it comes right back on.
It doesn't help that I'm a huge baby/complainer and it feels like it's already been out for a week. :P
My dad is out too (he lives sort of near Glitzy). He said there is a full tree down across the lines on the Hallowell Litchfield Road.
AHH that would make sense. We took a ride last night and didn't see any lines down near us.
We never ended up loosing ours, at home or the store. It made for a crazy busy night at work. We were the only store open in all of Turner, all the way to Auburn. Half the town still doesn't have electricity. And apparently people like to order pizza when they don't have power. 27 pizzas later, I was happy to get home to a house with the lights still on!! No first day of school for the kiddos today!
Hope all of you with no power get it back soon!!
We lost ours at noon yesterday. My biggest fear is losing my frozen breastmilk stash!
Luckily, our neighbor is currently sharing his generator power with us - we've got the fridge going and a light, with even enough power for an occasional TV fix.
They're telling us that we're on a grid with only 500 powerless customers, so we're not a priority, and may not have power back until Thursday!!! However, DH starts school tomorrow (was supposed to start today with freshman) and my work has power...
