Re: Opinions on the Outlet Mall
Eh. It was OK. I'll probably still go to Dallas to do a majority of my outlet mall shopping, but it IS nice to have one here. I wasn't that impressed with the Gap or BCBG outlets, and they don't have an Ann Taylor outlet [which is my fave store]...but the majority of the stores still have good deals. The main crappy thing is that there's not a lot of parking at all, so be prepared to park on grass or across the street.
I will definitely, never, ever go during a holiday weekend though. My mom and I had talked about going this weekend, but we'll probably wait since there will be Labor Day sales going on.
I guess I'm one of the few who had no problems with parking..?
I've been twice. It's been busy, but I've enjoyed it. Some of the outlets aren't hugely discounted, but there are still some good deals to be had. LOVE the Saks store! If you can, eat at Smashburger. The smash fries were really good, and the fried pickles were equally awesome.

We found parking just fine. We saw others who were parking in the grass and just shook our heads as there was plenty if you just looked. We hit the 25% off sale at Polo for H, and he got a couple of shirts. He also hit up Brooks Brothers and got a few things. I plan on checking out the Le Crueset store eventually.
I wasn't bothered by the crowds, and found it no worse than the regular mall. The shade thingies were really nice.
Thank you all for your take on the Outlet.
Ginger-I will have to try smashburger.
I think I saw you there if it was two Sundays ago. You had a Saks off Fifth bag.
We went...and it was okay. H founds some deals at the men's store but didn't buy anything. Prices weren't great.
I don't find outlets to be that good of a deal. I bought some cute things at the BR factory store last year. It was a good deal because it was on sale, but the quality of some of the items was not worth full price.
I think it was 3 Sundays ago but I'm not 100% sure. I was with my H and my midget the first time with a Saks bag, and then I ran back in while they circled the parking lot and got another top for my neighbor's kid. You should have said hi! I saw gingerfeathers that day also, so maybe she can tell me when I went.
LOL, I think it was three Sundays ago now... it was NOT the first weekend they were open, but the second. Whatever that was. August 7th maybe?
