I actually don't have any leave at work and actually had to go hourly to be able to take a few days here and there since DH and I hate to sit still.
So, we really can't plan any long vacations.
we finalized on pureto vallarta.
i agree about the short trips and not being able to sit still....h and i take 2 or 3 days off around a weekend and do 5-ish day trips all the time. mexico will be before/after thanksgiving..

Have you been to Puerto Vallarta before? Are you staying in the old area or the new area?
That sounds like a lovely break before the holidays.
My parents are coming here for Thanksgiving and my dad is insisting we go out to dinner rather than cook!

we haven't been to PV, and i don't know if it's new or old. we were debating between cancun and cabo, but h found PV for about $200 less pp, so we just decided to there instead.
we won't be here for thanksgiving.
sara, why aren't you traveling anymore? because of the baby, h and i are actually traveling more..we want to get more done before we get tied down.

This is DH and I's thoughts as well. We feel we need one or two more big trips before we decide to settle down and be adults.
mexico is our last hurrah, if things go according to plan when we wanna try. we'd really like to go to ireland & scotland but we'll see.. we wanna save a TON so vacationing isn't on the list. i probably won't go on vacation when i'm preg either.
