What do you think is a fair price per basket (the little ones)?
CW has me thinking I was ripped off, but I *think* I paid a fair price. I went home with 10 baskets off fruit/veggies (eggplant, potatoes, green peppers, squash/ zucchini, pears, plums, gala apples, tomatoes and cucumbers).
ETA: I paid $20 for all of it. I bought it at RAM, if that matters.
Another old nestie with a new name.
Re: Produce baskets
Did you go to Reeds Groves (I think that's what it's called). I think it's VERY fair, depending on what you buy. I know these things are always better deals than Publix - Eggplant, Sweet Potatoes, Peppers, Zucchini, Summer Squash, Melons (huge deal on watermelon - $2), Tomatoes, Peaches, Onions, Plums, Lemons, Limes, Asparagus, Blueberries.
Some things that aren't a great deal, and may be the same price, depending on season - Mushrooms, Okra, Apples, Pears (depending on the price per pound), Cherry Tomatoes, Beets, Carrots and Corn.
I'd seriously pull Publix prices, weight your stuff, and tell her how much you would have spent. You save a TON of $ at the Farmer's Market.
