Re: PG/Mom Check-In

  • Kennedy is doing good!  She had her 6 month and another post op visit last week and got an A+ from both doctors.  She's being weaned from her blood pressure meds, and as of a week from Wednesday she will be on NO MORE meds!  She was up to 14lbs 6oz.  She's trying SO hard to crawl, but can totally scoot.  We're on vacation right now and she's loving every minute of it.

imageI give up on trying to PIP - but this is the HUGEST smile EVER!

  • We're doing well!  The reality that we're having a baby is starting to sink in now that we know she's a little girl.  It seemed much more abstract before.  Now I'm just ready to get started on her nursery, but we need to finish getting the rest of the apartment set up first.  Going on vacation immediately after moving wasn't the best idea because now we still have a ton to do here.  Oh well.  I know we have time, but I'm ready to get going!

  • Since we got back from the ILs we can't leave the room without Zoe whining/crying. :/ I know this was going to happen eventually, but it started all of a sudden when we got back. She is slowly returning to her normal self though, so maybe this will pass. We had a pretty good visit overall. Zoe had a few meltdowns because when people are contsantly playing with her and in her face it seems to be too much. We learned this from beinmg with my family. H's family always thought she needed a diaper change or was hungry when she melted down, despite what we told them. The worst one was when we were in the car. I have never heard her so hysterical so of course I got upset too. We pulled over and I was able to calm her down but it still makes me upset. I knew it was going to happen but not to that extent. Anyway, Zoe had her 6 month check up and is 27 3/4 in, 18lb 7 oz. Her weight gain has really slowed down but she is still in the 88percentile! 98 for height lol! She isn't a fan of sweet potatoes and so far that is the only puree food we have given her.  She is getting on all 4's and rocking but that is the closest we have come to crawling. She will occasionally scoot too. She is pretty good at sitting up and can even balance while grabbing toys somestimes. She is a bit wobbly stll though. I love my baby girl!!

We're doing good! My little girl is BIG - seriously, huge! So much so that we're doing another U/S tomorrow with the anticipation that they will move up my EDD - I am totally fine with this!

Kennedy is SO good natured, but we're struggling a little this trip.  She's got so many people in her face, grabbing at her, etc. that she's getting overwhelmed and fussy.  We were at my BIL & SIL's house yesterday.  They had four kids and one of them had two friends, so there were 6 kids running around, plus SIL and BIL and she had a huge meltdown.  I was really frustrated that they had other people over.  I'm so sick of people touching her and getting up in her face!  And like you said, they all have a theory for why she's fussy.  I want to say, she's fussy because you are in her face and grabbing at her hands, causing me to have to wipe them AGAIN before she puts them in her mouth.

  • Triston is doing great. I can't believe he is 3 weeks old today (where has time gone?) Yesterday I ventured out of the house alone with him for the firierst time. It went pretty well, although I was exhausted by the time we got home. He has been a little fussier than usual the past few days, but have noticed he has also been a little gassier after eating as well so I think that is where the fuss has come from.

He absolutely hates tummy time unless it is on mommy or daddy's chest. He is such a snuggler and I absolutely love it.

  • saw the doctor this morning, everything is right on track so i could let out another sigh of relief... starting every 2 week visits from now on and realizing the weeks to go are in the single digits now motivated me enough to actually clean out and paint the nursery! yes! still no furniture or any baby items but one big check and im feeling a little better lol...

baby likes to stick its limbs in between my ribs and stretch way out to the side... really strange feelings.. and LOTS of braxton hicks contractions- esp when i have to pee or im running around a lot at work.. and im starting to feel that "hard to breathe" feeling when the baby is all pushed up under your lungs... fun stuff! just cant believe how close its getting!

we are taking off to san antonio texas this thursday for labor day weekend to visit a friend.. im considering it our "babymoon" lol since it will be the last trip before baby comes.. so hopefully we get some good weather!

Isn't that crazy!? We are getting close =))

I am also getting lots of BH contractions, and just really tired lately. It's been soooo busy though. Nursery should be done this week, wahoo! That's about it..

On a side note...i'm sooooo ready for Fall!! Football, Pumpkin Spices, Candles, cooler weather (hopefully)...and of course, little Chloe's arrival. =)

  • I cried a little seeing myself on the list of Pregnant Nesties. Thank you for updating this Aegis.

Nothing new, nausea is still kicking my butt and I can't eat anything without making me feel sick. I actually have to change my deodorant to a non-scented one because the Dove I usually use seem to have really strong scent all of a sudden. Everything stinks basically lol

  • Hello ladies!  Going great here!  I'm finally feeling baby girl kick all the time so that's exciting.  Other than that, no new updates.  Everything seems to be going along smoothly.

  • I'm so glad Kennedy is doing so well!

And roses, I never got to congratulate you on your little girl. Awesome. :)

I'm 10 weeks today, and have a doctor's appt this afternoon with a new OB. I hope it goes well. I was in Cleveland visiting my grandpa and best friend this weekend so I told both of them, and now that my grandpa knows word is spreading through my family. It just makes me a little nervous now that so many people know, because I always worry about something going wrong, but I'm sure it will be fine. I'm excited for the doctor's appt for some reassurance!

Other than that, feeling okay. Still ridiculously exhausted and nauseous more often than not. Morning commutes on the trains are the worst.
