because the universe likes to rain sh*t on me...
we have 3 leaks in our house, and my mom just called to tell me she's been diagnosed with cancer.
ugh.
she had a LEEP procedure done for cervical dysplasia a few weeks ago, and the results came back positive. she apparently didn't have the wits about her to ask too many questions about stages and whatnot (though i don't know whether they even know that sort of thing yet); all she knows is to expect a call from a GYN-oncologist to schedule a hysterectomy. (she's 67).
i'm kind of in shock. anybody have personal, family, or friend experience with cervical cancer?

Ugh, Im so sorry to hear about your mom. Sending all kinds of good thoughts to her, you and the rest of your family.
Are you going to have your insurance company take a look at your leaks to see what can be done for you?
we're actually already in the middle of a lawsuit with the builder of our building b/c of leaking issues. the architect we have been working with just said today that if our building had been constructed properly in the first place, we wouldn't have this leaking issue to begin with.
