If you weren't a teacher, what would you want to be? Hmm...I've always said if I ever go back and get my Master's it would be in counseling, I think I would enjoy being a HS counselor. I also LOVE to bake so I think doing something in that field would be fun!
What are your hobbies? Movies, sports, reading (though I don't read as often as I should), I'm trying to get into scrapbooking, and we love going to the lake when we have time.
Favorite dessert? Better than sex cake or ice cream. I freaking love ice cream.

How has your life changed since you have had LO? Less sleep . The main difference is that it takes me longer to get ready to go somewhere.
Have your views on the teaching profession changed since you became a mommy? Not yet, but they may change once I'm back in the classroom. I think I was able to relate better to the parents of my students once I was pregnant--it was a little easier for me to see their view on some things.
If you could visit any country where you would go? If I could visit any place I wanted it would be Australia, I've always wanted to go there.

What are your strengths/weaknesses as a mom? Strengths--I'm patient and loving and I remind myself every day what a blessing it really is to have G. That helps me keep things in perspective. I'm also a good listener and understanding, I think that will come in handy when he's older.
Weaknesses--I tend to doubt myself and whether or not I'm doing the "right" thing. I'm still a little selfish with my time and I like having my "me time", which I guess isn't really a weakness because I think a happy momma = a happy baby, right?....see how I'm doubting myself? Lol
How many more kids do you want? 1 more
Is your H better or worse at the dad gig than you thought he'd be? I knew he would be a good dad, but he's not a very patient person and he's surprised me with how patient he's been with G. He also really stepped up the first few weeks when I was struggling so much--he not only took care of G but he took care of me.
Do you have any regrets in your life? Sometimes I wish I would've met DH earlier in life, but I figure things happen for a reason so I guess things may not have worked out the way they did if we'd met sooner.
Favorite place to vacation? We don't really "vacation", but we love a good weekend at the lake

What are your goals as a mom? To provide for G, give him happy memories and good roots, and to give him what he needs to be an upstanding person who'll contribute to the world in a positive way.
What are your goals as a wife? To truly be a partner for DH and support him in every way I can and to always communicate with him. It's important to me that I'm a sense of comfort for DH.
Do you fill like your living the life you planned? I feel like I'm living a pretty great life, so yes

Is G's personality starting to show through? I think so! He's starting to smile and "talk" more, and his face literally lights up when he sees DH. Love it. It's funny the things that get him giggling and babbling.
Do you have any goals in the next year that you're hoping to accomplish? Find a job closer to home.
What Nesties do you identify most with? There are several I identify with in one way or another but I think BoyMom and I have a very similar sense of humor/sarcasm and I think I'll probably end up identifying with her as a mom as well. And I think Allison and I are alike in a lot of ways--she's able to articulate things better than I am but she says things I want to say a lot of the time.

If you could teach any grade/subject you wanted, what would you pick? That's tough. I LOVE Math and I really miss teaching MS and HS Math, BUT I also really like teaching 2nd grade and I don't miss dealing with the EOI hoopla. Really, I can't choose one over the other, but each grade level/subject has their pros and cons.
What's annoying you most right now? The weather. I freaking hate that DH has to work in the 100+ degree heat every day and I hate that's it's too hot for me to get G out unless it's absolutely necessary.
Besides LO (of course!) what's making you smile the most right now? That I have 6 weeks of leave left and that football season and Fall are fast approaching!!
What's the best date you and your DH ever had? We went on a date the night before I went into labor. It was actually a not very good restaurant experience (long wait, rude customer about knocked me down and DH cussed him out, crappy waitress), but we talked a lot about LO coming and how anxious we were (and how we still didn't have a girl name picked out haha), we laughed a lot, and we got ice cream after dinner . That turned out to be our last date before we became parents--who knew G would be making his appearance so soon?

Favorite season and why? I love summer because I'm off work , but I also really love fall and spring. Not a fan of winter really!
Do you like to cook? Yes, I love to cook and bake!
What state would you want to move to if you were to move out of Oklahoma? Hmmm...maybe Missouri? My grandparents live there so I've spent a lot of time visiting and I've always liked it there.
