I hope those that got hit by Irene are recovering well and no one had to deal with too much damage.
My weekend was pretty good. We ended up playing 3 games of baseball and only nearly lost the last game, so we were done by 4pm on Saturday. We went for dinner with a few people from the team and then went home and watched Rio.
Yesterday I finished up the material list for our kitchen while Derek grouted the floor and then we were off to my mom's place for dinner. We shared the baby news with them, so that was nice.
Today I'm probably heading back to Old Navy as they've extended their Friends and Family sale until Wednesday and I want some more new clothes!!

We survived the hurricane with nothing more that a ton of rain and some wind. Otherwise, we were pretty luck. However, it did make for a boring weekend. We didn't leave the house at all on Saturday and finally crawled out for a walk on Sunday afternoon. I baked a lot (including the bacon cheddar scones from the August Cooks blog) which really didn't do me any good on top of the bloat.
I went for my fourth, and I hope final, beta this morning. I would appreciate all kinds of vibes or whatever you have while I wait for the results.
The boss is out Thursday and Friday and then it's a long weekend, so this week should be good.

We had a good weekend. Our BBQ on Friday night was fun and laid back. Saturday my best friend and I went for a short hike nearby in the morning and then she went home and Ed and I spent the rest of the day hanging out. Sunday we pretty much missed Irene where we were, but I was glued to Facebook last night looking at pictures of the devastation in my hometown and the town I teach in. It is awful...so many places in Vermont are underwater/destroyed and there were tons of covered bridges lost in the flooding. How we got so lucky as to miss all of it where we are I'm not sure, but I am glad. I am just so sad for everyone who was not so lucky. I'm pretty sure a couple of friends from high school lost their brand new house that they just finished building 6 months ago...
School starts tomorrow but I am debating going in this afternoon. I am taking a new Teacher Leader position (on top of my regular job) so I may go in to meet with my principal about that...I just haven't decided yet. I also need to get in a short run, register my car, and go grocery shopping...

Reba - vibes for great beta numbers!
Our weekend was good. We left Niagara Falls and went to St Catharines to visit with a friend that I used to work with at the hospital. It was really nice to see her again.
Yesterday was my 10 mile chocolate race! It was cloudy and cool so perfect weather for running. It started in the tiny town of Port Dalhousie and then went into St Catharines and back. There was some pretty nice trails and we ran along the water for a large part. I finished in 1:39:11 (my goal was 1:40) and that included a potty break at mile 4. Afterwards my stomach was killing me but I did enjoy all the chocolate available afterwards - chocolate milk, chocolate croissants and many other chocolates.
Today is back to work and back to reality. Have a good day.
I just went through a bunch of old stuff from my parents' house and found a few old binders. One was actually full of a bunch of stuff that I can use in my classroom...it is now sitting on my shelf next to my desk at school!

Good morning! My Monday/anniversary is off to a great start. I found out this morning that my annual raise is more than I was anticipating. Not a huge amount, but I was expecting 2.5-3% and ended up with 3.5%. I also thought that I'd be losing my parking spot this week (which is already a 10 minute walk from my building) and getting a parking spot twice as far away. Well, I found out today that I won't be losing the spot after all (yet, anyway).
My weekend was good. Friday night we enjoyed dinner with the ILs. Saturday we had beautiful weather for the farmer's market and the outdoor 30th/60th birthday party. Yesterday I went down to my mom's house and visited with my family. We basically just hung out at her house and then went out to dinner.
Tonight I think we're planning a date night to celebrate our anniversary (and now also my raise). We won't be doing anything too crazy since we're really celebrating with our trip next month, but we'll probably go out to dinner and a movie. Have a great day ladies and happy anniversary to the other 8/29 ladies!

Had a great weekend, topped off with a 100 mile bicycle ride yesterday. It's an all-women's ride that raises scholarship money for under-served young people. There were about 2,200 riders, and lots of fun. But I'm a little sore after 7 hours on my bike.

This weekend was a great one. DH had a very stressful end of the week so Friday we laid low once he got home around 8:30.
Saturday was a productive day of picking out carpet, install of the carseat, packing diaper/hospital bag and cleaning. Saturday night, DH and I went to Our Idiot Brother.
Sunday, we got a few things done around the house and then went to the MN State Fair.
Great weekend, now I am bummed it's Monday! Have a good one ladies.
Morning everyone. Things here are going well. I finished up the training seminars on Friday, then headed up to my mom's. She had surgery on her wrist on Friday, so I hung out with her. Saturday, I helped her get a bunch of school stuff done since she can't write. Afterwards, B and I headed up to Michigan to visit my aunt and uncle for the evening. I always love going up to their house. It's so nice to get out of the city and just sit by the pool with no one around. Yesterday, we came home and did some grocery shopping and laundry. Also, I booked a ticket to London in November. B has to speak at a conference, so I'm tagging along. Can't wait!

Wow, is it really Monday already? DH and I had a blast in Vegas. It's been a while since just the two of us went there. We had the most amazing dinner Friday night, then proceeded to eat our weight in other amazing food all weekend.
Not really looking forward to this week - but we'll see what it brings.

This weekend was fun. It's all kind of a blur but the high lights are dinner with my BIL and GF and going to see Senna that finally opened here in the States. I had no idea there were so many Brazilians in Atlanta.
I got in a few good runs. I'm finally getting my miles under 10 minutes.
I cooked some good food and relaxed.

We had a great and busy weekend. Saturday we went to my niece's birthday party and had lots of fun. She loves Olivia and wanted her cousin right next to her for all her activities. It was just so great to see them together. Sunday we did our usual errands and then went to the IL' s for a bit in the afternoon.
DH goes back to school tonight so I'll be alone with Olivia a lot more in the evenings. It's gonna suck not to have him around to help, but women do it all the time so I'm sure we'll be fine. Have a great day ladies!
I'm having tons of pain in my back. I think it's a combo of carrying the baby and pumping milk. There is just no comfortable way to do that. I think a dip in the hot tub while grandma watches Jackson is in order for tonight. DH shouldn't be too tired since he didn't wake up last night at all and got a nap yesterday. He let me sleep for most of the morning, so it worked out fine.
Our town was flooded out pretty good near our big shopping market.
My mom ended up getting evacuated in RI, but I haven't heard how they made out now that they went home. Our friends from VT still haven't gotten back to me either. I'm praying everything is alright there. I heard it got nailed pretty bad.
I hate it when that happens.

This weekend was busy. We had lots of people over last night, it was a pretty good time, our house got super warm though. I would love to look into renting an air-conditioning unit if we are still renting here next year.
