Thanks for the well wishes with Irene. I ended up getting one of the last seats on one of the last flights out of NYC. It looks like things didn't end up that bad in the city though.
Sarack, sorry I had this plan to try all new places this trip and report back to you, but I didn't really get to eat any where new because I was scrambling a bit on Friday afternoon. 
Supposedly the conference is going to get rescheduled, but I don't know if i'll go before you leave. You'll have to give me some reqs.

glad you got out of there safely, even though there was no damage, really!
SC was really fun. the weather was a little hot for my taste, but i love southern culture and architecture. it's so beautiful there, and i love the history that just litters the streets..
i'm suuuuuuper tired this morning. i didn't get home-home until 1am, and at that point i still needed to do a few things before going to bed. then i had to wake up super early this morning so i could take a shower (i normally take night time showers) and be at work by 5am. ugh. i'm so looking forward to getting off work today.
the weather sure is a relief though! i *love* seatlte weather, down to the very last rain drop. no other city will ever be called home.

I work a couple of hours each afternoon this week and then we leave for vacation Sunday. Can't wait!
Awww, thank you so much for trying/thinking of me! What could you do though, there was a hurricane coming!!! Hopefully I'll visit some places you have tried yet:) One of my BFFs told me about this place called the mac bar... which i'm SUPER excited about.

This weekend was so much fun but I'm exhausted today! I'm happy it's Monday though, lots to get done this week and then another busy busy weekend ahead!

We had a very productive weekend (if we're FB friends, you probably noticed that, haha)! DH got the carseat installed (yay!!), I got most of the baby clothes washed, and I got most of the other laundry done, and I *think* I have my hospital bag mostly packed. There are definitely other things to be done (I still feel like we need to have diapers, wipes, and other baby necessities in the house, but whatevs), but nothing that's so pressing that it can't wait a week. LOL

Good Monday!
I had an enjoyable weekend, first weekend in a while where I felt like I got good weekend out of it, if that makes sense.
Saturday I got up @$$ early (for a Sat) to get my massage in Redmond, and discovered that I had forgotten 520 was closed! At least I managed to get out of the house early enough that I was able to get down around via I-90 and still have time to stop for SBUX and be on time. Then I puttered around my fav stores in the area (Ben Franklin, Pier 1, Cost Plus) before heading home. Took an afternoon nap because I wanted (yes!) and still had plenty of day left. Sat on the deck and munched on late lunch and read book and saw an awesome humming bird come flutter a few feet from my head. Then we went and did the final walk through on our house!
Sunday was low-key, spent dinking on FB, and putting away laundry, washing more and doing dishes. Made hubby watch UHF last night as somehow he never saw that movie. Stayed up late chatting with my cousin.
Oh...AND TODAY WE SIGN THE FINAL PAPERS FOR OUR HOUSE!!!!!!!!!!!

Morning! I'm glad all the east coast travelers are home safe
H and I went up to Fish Lake (near Leavenworth) this weekend. We fished for a few hours Saturday morning, then went into town for wine tasting, then basically did nothing the rest of the weekend. It was heaven.

This weekend DH and I started painting our bedroom. A bright blue color, we are planning on doing a Caribbean theme. We bought a duvet cover, bed sheets and curtains at Target. I love it!
That was about it. At work all day, looking forward to going home.
