i forget....do you have to go to SS office before DPS or does it matter?

I did my drivers license first, and then mailed my stuff to the SS office. There was no way in heck I was standing in that crazy line.

I just went about a week ago and went to the DPS office first and then went to the SS office - the SS office only took 15 minutes. Went to this one....

There is also a DPS office not far from there off of South Gessner.
When I changed my name, the dude at the SS office told me I needed to go to the DPS office first.

I did DPS first (abour 4.5 hours) then SS (about 20 minutes). I went to the SS office in midtown
