Anyone else still without power?
Hi Bmore nesties- haven't posted here for a while!
We've been without since Saturday night. No ETR given but it could be until Friday.
Anyone else? We are in Baltimore Co., north of the city.

Re: Anyone else still without power?
We are still without power as well
Not sure when it went out, as we had been on a road trip for 8 days for vacation... but it's been off since we got home at 4:30 yesterday afternoon. Thank goodness for the generator that the previous owners left for us. It works wonders!
I'm at my mom's with the pup having lunch... but will be returning home shortly to help DH pick up all the branches/rake leaves. I just hope the power goes back on by the evening, thought we have no idea when it'll be restored... I really want to get to the grocery store before I go back to work Wednesday night, but would like to wait until we've got our power back so we don't over-work the fridge on generator power (we only run it for a few hours at a time). So frustrating because our neighbors have power, ours is the first street of the neighborhood without power.

That was what we got when calling all yesterday and today up until an hour ago- that's when we got the ETR of 10:30pm tomorrow.
Not to pop anyone's hope bubbles, but I wouldn't put a lot of stock into the ETRs if you get them. I called last night at 10:30 and was given an ETR of 1:30am. At 1:30am I was given an ETR of 8:30am. At 9:30am I was given an ETR of 10:30pm. I called again later and was given an ETR of Friday 9/2 by 11:30pm.
I left my house around 11:30am and brought DD to my Mom's in Severn to enjoy AC, TV, movies and the ability to charge my electronics. We moved our frozen meats to a friend's house last night but everything else in our fridge and freezers is a loss. We bagged up half of it last night and will do the rest tonight. It gets nice and cool at night but it's hot during the day, which makes me whiny. And DD is great at playing and occupying herself, but she still asks to watch TV or a movie once in awhile.
Before anyone swoops in to point out that we're lucky that the damage wasn't worse, let me say that yes, I realize as much. Our basement didn't flood. Nothing fell on our house or vehicles. No down power lines in our neighborhood causing imminent danger. I'm thrilled that our area wasn't ravaged by the storm.
Yet I'm annoyed that my power is out and it's old. I'm whiny and grumpy.
*And I do realize BGE is working round the clock, so I'm not blaming them, either. It's just the luck of the draw. But no less frustrating.
I hear ya girl! I'm sitting at work freezing my butt off in the air and working super late for the man.....just because I don't want to go home to a home with no power, spoiled food and no water. I'm exhausted and just want my power back.
Fancy that everyone who says they are "working around the clock and doing what they can" have power or never lost it.
I just resent being told I shouldn't complain about something because "it could be worse". Of course it could. That could be said about pretty much anything any of us in the pampered western world ever complain about. I'm grateful it's not worse and my heart breaks for Vermont and North Carolina - I feel terribly for folks who lost everything, including their lives, and know that my power-related complaints are nothing compared to their troubles.

This really does not make me happy. Just tell me the truth BGE- don't get my hopes up.
All offices with windows flooded in my building. I had water damage from the window to about four feet from the wall. They had heaters, industrial fans and dehumidifiers going yesterday. I was displaced to the intern's cubicle but am back in my office today. This is the second time this has happened to our office suite. You think the situation would have been corrected by now. The smell is giving me a massive headache however.
