Please show me how your playroom is organized
I'm looking to reorganize the playroom and am looking for some good ideas -- thanks!
Re: Please show me how your playroom is organized
I don't have pictures on this computer, but basically our playroom is set up in sections...just like a preschool would be. I used to be a teacher
I have a reading section with a book case (the kind where books are face out so the kids can see what they're picking), a rug, a little chair to sit in, puzzles, and puppets. Eventually, we might have a puppet theater in this area as well.
There's a pretend play area with their kitchen, dress up clothes, stuffed animals, dolls, etc...
There's a building area with legos, wooden blocks, and cars/garage.
And finally a general play area with all the little toys. We have a Closetmaid shelving cube unit with canvas bins that are labeled: my little ponies, little people, etc...
This is all in the basement, so the basement kitchen area is all for their arts/crafts stuff.
I wish I had a picture to show you...basically each section is partitioned off into individual spaces using furniture or toys. So the bookcase is perpendicular to the kitchen so it's 2 separate spaces, if that makes sense?
Found some old pictures! The playroom has changed quite a bit since then, but this will give you an idea of how I have it sectioned into different areas. Now we also have a couch in there (for adults during playgroups
Or me!) and things are totally rearranged and many different toys swapped out (no more baby stuff)..
