2012
So maybe it's because I watch 2012 yesterday or the fact that TLC had a special on about 4 families preparing for the apocalypse, but I am curious do you think the world is coming to an end on December 21, 2012? Do you have anything prepare in case of a natural disaster or for the apocalypse? I am not looking to cause any fights over religious beliefs, I just love hearing other peoples' thoughts on the subject.

I don't believe the world is ending in 2012.
In terms of a natural disaster, I'd probably be pretty unprepared physically speaking. We don't have an underground bunker or any food stores going on, so I guess I'm just taking each day as it comes. lol
I don't think the world is ending either... but I do think something big might happen, just not sure what.
Did you watch that special on TLC? One family showed how they have races with their 5 year old and 2 year old as to who can get their gas masks on faster. The mother at one point said she felt comfortable that the 5 year old could take care of the 2 year if something happened to them?!?! Some people take things to extreme.
We are very unprepared for any thing, I don't even have food in my refrig for dinner tonight! hah
I didn't know TLC had any shows on this. Sounds like a lot of hype to freak people out to me. This family you're talking about sounds completely insane. I agree that it's pretty extreme.

No I don't think the world is going to end next year. The world was supposed to end on May 21st (my wedding day) and nothing happened. Although many people joke that DH's world ended...
I think all that stuff is just hype and used to scare people. The race to put the gas masks on is insane. Absolutely insane.
I was watching that last night and it freaked me out! LOL But those people were insane, I'm sorry. It was like a car crash and I couldn't look away. The people who had the races with their kids, loonies as they are, they had some pretty genius stuff going on in their backyard.
I personally don't think the world will end in 2012. People can make a conspiracy out of anything and then cash in on the hysteria. The world was supposed to have ended several times in the past few years...and we're all still here.
Kind of like all the banks were going to crumble and people "wouldn't exist" when the year 2000 hit? Mmm hmm.
(In case you couldn't tell - no, I don't buy into that stuff. If the world is going to end, no amount of bottled water in my basement is going to stop it.)

I Googled "Underground Bunker" images in hopes of finding something stupid/funny to share, and a picture of Tom Cruise came up. Apparently he falls in the same absurd category as underground bunkers.
