You know it's been a hot summer when...
you look at the 5 day forecast and get excited because it says 93 for the high on Sunday and think to yourself...Fall must be coming! Then I realized what I was saying and was disappointed because all it really means is, we are in normal temps now.
Sad face!

Re: You know it's been a hot summer when...
Yeah...I got really, really excited when I saw lows in the 60s. I am so over this summer and its hot weather.
A couple of weeks ago, we had a bunch of rain come through, and it dropped the temp to 70. People were walking around outside in jackets - craziness that we're so used to the hot weather that 70 is cold!
What? Low's in the 60's! I'm so jealous! We had one day a couple of weeks ago that it rained. I wanted to put a sweatshirt on but I refrained, lol!
I know people have been complaing and I know it's supposed to be hot here in Texas but it's not THIS hot for THIS long! I'll be looking forward to cooler weather in FL when we go to Disney!

93 would be amazing!! Our forecast has us in the upper 90s on Thu/Fri, and even that excites me. If it's below 100, our a/c works soooo much better!
But 60s?! I can't imagine. Our lows are still in the upper 70s for the rest of this week. We have some 72 lows next week, but I don't believe it will get that cool. They're always teasing me with the extended forecast.
The low on Sunday is 61. I'm seriously tempted to camp out so I can enjoy it.
Our a/c works when it gets below 100, too - those days of 110+ meant our fan AND a/c were running just to keep it below 80 inside. I'm not looking forward to receiving my August bill - I already started saving because I'm anticipating it'll be at least $100 more than normal.
This. Exactly. This summer will go down as one of the hottest, if not THE hottest, summer ever. We're used to having like, 2-3 week stretches of 100+ and then normal, but going so many days with temps between 100-110 is crazy.
I was excited to hear that we would be in the lower-90's this weekend, and then I remembered that I wouldn't be here to enjoy it. I will be enjoying highs in the 70's and lows in the 60's while in Chicago. I'm going to have to remember to pack sweaters for Amelia and I!!!
I do hope this is the start of us maybe having semi-normal temperatures. It gives me hope that Fall and Winter will eventually come.
Amelia is going to be a big sister!
Oh, I hope, I hope, I hope!
I refuse to hope anymore. I just get disappointed, lol!
I have a Scentsy pool party this weekend and there is a slight chance of rain. I don't care if does ruin a pool party as long as it rains.
I'm not sure which is more sad to look at, out electric or water at this point. Water is cheaper but still way up and that's WITH the restrictions!
The record is 69 days over 100. I think yesterday was 62 so, we won't quite make it. Then we missed beating the record for consecutive days over 100 by one day. Kind of makes you mad you went through all that and didn't even get the record, lol!

I'm watching the weather on the local news right now. We have had 79 days at 100 or over. SEVENTY-NINE. Total rainfall for July and August combined: .07". Yeah. Less than a tenth of an inch in two months. I think we had .5" in June. They did not say what our record is. We've had a few single days at 99 so that we have not reached the days-in-a-row at 100+ record. We were pretty close in July.
I'm sending lots of soggy wishes that your pool party will be rained out.
