this is serious, I'm absolutely torn! Now I kind of like the gold one.
I have issues.
do I really have to make a pro/con list?! this is ridiculous. I'm also terrified that i need to decide soon in case they run out of one. I think it's between the green and the gold. Apparently the gold is a little bigger and like you said, kind of classic/basic/goes with everything. But I also love the color and it would be so fun. help me.

You're down to the green (or blue), gold or neutral leather right?
I measured them out and they're all a really good size. They're a tiny bit smaller than mine, but should all fit a lot still.
What are you hoping to get out of this wallet? Are you wanting it more as a wallet or clutch or both?
well, the reason I wanted the color is just because it's *so* KS, I feel like I have a lot of black/brown/neutral purses - recently started getting colored ones. I was always more of a shoe person so I have those in lots of colors but never had much of an opinion about purses.
Anyway, gold seems kind of 'boring', however, it would be the most versatile and it looks really nice to me (the smaller name plate thing). I'm also more of a 'one wallet' kind of girl - or at least one at a time, it's too complicated switching around between them (unless I use a little card case with a wristlet). While that all seems like I should get the gold, I don't mind using the same wallet for everything even if it is a color, so I don't feel like I have to have a neutral one to use for everything.
I *think* what I want is to get the gold and then hold out for the classic green KS purse...

I think this sounds like a really good plan. This is what I'd do.
I prefer the gold over the colored ones because it's chic-er (is that even a word?)
The colored ones are super cute, but they're more whimsical and playful. I'm a one wallet girl too and so I'd pick classic over fun as a one wallet carrier.
sold!

squeeeee! PIP when you get it.
will do
the next thing I have to figure out is how to take better care of it. Let's face it, I use a backpack because it's easy to carry all my stuff around (laptop and lunch + misc keys etc). I did go on a search for a nice bag instead, but a) it was hard to find something that looked "cute" and not like an ugly laptop bag and/or b) was not super big because I'm a small person! Also c) even though I have a small laptop, it's still kinda heavy for a one shoulder 'purse' bag and the backpack is just easier to throw around.
However, my wallet gets pretty beat up (I don't buy expensive ones usually) and it doesn't normally matter. You mentioned using a laptop bag, what kind do you have?

Condition your wallet before use with a leather conditioner/cleaner and then once every 6 months or so after that.
I'm really, really hard on my lap top bag, so I don't have a nice one. No joke, but I have a black Jansport laptop bag. I got it at the container store maybe 4 or 5 years ago and it's holding up so well. There are separate smaller pockets that I put my wallet and keys in to, so they don't get banged around so much.
bc of work I have to carry around a lot of random crap and this fits everything and then some.
This is the updated version of my bag: http://www.bagking.com/jansport-turnpike-messenger.html?utm_source=jansport.com&utm_medium=referral&utm_term=TTZ8
