I have a SF tansportation question...
I mentioned a couple of weeks go that H and I are going to San Francisco this weekend for the Fresno State/ Cal game. H is pretty much going for work so he has to drive the radio station vehicle which rules out driving into the city on Sunday when we have free time.
It looks like our best bet to get into the city from San Mateo on Sunday is to take the BART by SFO and take that to Embarcadero. The Cal Train will be too crazy because of the Giant's home game. I want to take H to lunch at Boudin's (and get some sourdough bread of course) at Pier 39 which is a 1.6 mile walk from the Embarcadero BART (we're fine with walking). My question is how can we get from Pier 39 to Ghiradelli Square to Union Square? At the end of the day we would have to make our way back to the Embarcadero BART.
Another option might be hitching a ride with H's boss into the city because he's going to the Giant's game on Sunday and meeting him when the game is over. Which only leaves us with the dilemma of getting around the city. TIA!
