Exciting news! And some vibes to keep it coming!

So, as I have said several times before, DH works at State Farm.  He is currently a claim processor, but just got promoted to a claim rep while we were on our vacation during the first week of August.  Yay!  He was super excited about this, and still is, and he is supposed to start during the first week of October.

Well, today he got called in to talk to his boss, and he thought that maybe she was going to tell him that he was going to get to start his claim rep job sooner. Turns out that the vice president of claims has heard about him and the work that he's been doing and is soliciting him to interview for a business architect position at corporate. When this happens, there are typically two or three people that the people higher up in the department that request certain people to interview for the higher up job; this job is not posted anywhere and can only be offered to those that the higher up people want to interview.

This job would be a $13,000 pay increase and would enable him to work on projects and work from home when needed.  This would honestly be such an amazing opportunity for him.  I think he would be happier and the extra money would help lift a lot of weight off our shoulders--no more living paycheck to paycheck.

His interview is next Wednesday or Thursday.  If he doesn't get it, he will still have his promotion to claim rep.  But he really feels honored to be solicited and would love this job.  So if you could send some serious vibes his way, we would greatly appreciate it!

  • Oh my goodness, well done to him for getting the interview.
