*bad cats, good knits*

Ok, I know you're nest name, but I can't spell it to save my life, so I'm going with your blog name instead Stick out tongue

Anyway, I just looked at the website you posted for knitting patterns in your last blog post (Twist Collective) and I have to say: I'm IN LOVE with some of these patterns!  Thank you so much for the site.  I can't wait to start knitting for myself again...

That's all.  Thanks again :)

  • That's me!

And OMG, I looooooove Twist Collective.  I'm totally loving them more than Knitty and Interweave Knits right now.

Is it just an online magazine?  or do they do paper too?

Also, tell me more about interweave knits.  It is worth the money?

  • As far as I know, it's just online.

IK has both, I think.  Or at least they've been making an effort to make the digital version available lately.  It's a pretty good staple magazine and you get more patterns for your money than with TC, but (in my opinion) the patterns just aren't as good.   From what I understand, more of TC's money goes straight to the designer, too.

Both have some great articles on history and techniques.  All of their issues (for both mags) are logged into Ravelry, so you can check out what sort of patterns they have.  I have a number of IK in my library, which I think you can browse and that could get you started.

Basically, if you like the patterns they're offering, it's totally worth the money--I just haven't been drawn to many of their patterns lately.

  • A, I've missed you around here!  Why haven't you posted those projects here?

I addressed some of that in my blog post today.  I started a new job and I'm not sure how *lax* the internet policy is yet...I haven't tried The Nest yet.

The other is that I didn't have anything really finished until this weekend.  I had to find a new place to buy buttons.  That and the socks I was knitting didn't really pan out.

It's been a weird summer for me.  I do miss AWing, though.  I may just have to post my other project... :)

    You tease!

I thought maybe you just didn't want to knit sweaters over the summer, haha!  Congrats on the great new job, that's fantastic.
