Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

I figured out what they mean!
It's how much you contribute.
Top 500 contributers have one blue square and then it increases to the Top 10 contributers with all blue squares.
Most people have no blue squares.
(An unmatched left parenthesis creates an unresolved tension that will stay with you all day.

That's insane!!
Yeah, they used to have blue balls over on TK before they updated the format. You had to have like 15,000 posts before you got one, though. Back then there were no "badges" though. Not sure why they're still over here on top of the bronze, silver, whatever.
There was a discussion about this on MM the other day and they were saying how it's sort of ridiculous b/c just b/c you're a top contributor doesn't mean your contributions are valuable. :-P
